Northern Phalarope - 100-200 in salt pools at Dunn. Glaucous-wq. Gull . Dnn. Western Gull at. Bonaparte Gull? - one with black head Gulls? (with very pale wings, black tips. 3rd yr?) .. Caspian Terns - 8+ at Dunn Bridge. Pigeon Guillemot - 1 at Santa Cruz. Seen first on water. Later it entered a hole in the bluff, came out and walked about - red feet. Mourning Dove - Saratoga to Santa Cruz. Burrowing Owl - one on the Coyote Hill where we saw it last year and in same burrow. Owl (sp.?) - one near Alvarado - very larry - may have been shot - eared. Kingfisher - one on electric wire npper S. Loreng Val. Cassin's Woodpecker nest in dead alder at Sequoia Verde. Others heard at Saratoga + Big Trees. Downy Woodpecker - heard at Saratoga. Calif. Woodpecker - Colony in Big Trees, very noisy. Flicker - in Big Trees - noisy, calling, drumming. Ash-throated Flycatcher - near Saratoga Black Phoebe - Santa Cruz. [illegible]-sided Flycatcher - both sides of nits. at. Wood Peave Western 1 Horned Lark - singing near Alvarado. Sbr. at Dunn. Cliff Swallow - at. Dunn + S. Cruz (on cliffs) Barn 11 - several seen Tree (?) - over Big Trees - Coast Jay - both sides of nits - Calif. Jay - Big Trees.
