May 15. Overcast part of morning - warm. Walked
up Harmony Hill in search of Clemathus integri-
rius typica. Found none. Heard W. Winter Wren
and Mottling Nereit Thrush singing. Dratperson
drove up Bonny Doon Road from Ben Lomond about 2½ mi.
then walked to top of mountain. Found the Clemath
i.t. - a few along the road, and a small colony
at the top of the mountain. Heard two Nereit
Thruses at once - near the top. Many Band-
tailed Pigeons - several hundred - in large
scattered flocks flying out from the summit.
Two Ruf. Tailed Hawks on summit; also Harris
Woodfaecles, House Wren, Dolinia Warbler, Sp. Wrohe.
Also Black-thr Gray Warbler and Anna Hummer below the
summit. W. Vires most combined along way -
May 16 Found we could drive up Ben Lomond Mt.,
more easily from Felton to meet up again
To get roots of Bush Poppy. Iris (many color)
Zygadul. Took only 1½ hrs. Many Band-tailed Pigeons.
Shore to Berkeley p.m. Still cold in Berkeley.
Saw mourningbird at Vileo Nursery.
May 17 - During Commencement 4p.m. in Mc. Theater a
House Wren & Purple Finch were singing. A flock of
Cedar Warblings came into Enc. Trees at top.

May 19. Quite hot. Titmice come frequently
for sunflower seeds - Have not seen the young
birds.
May 20. Hot. Gardening.
May 21. Sick with a cold.
May 22. Went to Boulder Creek to get cypales
