across or the Salt pool and a few Dowitchers.
On the west side of the bridge Clapper
Rails were abundant - about 20 seen
from the highway as we drove along - and
a very few Bob. Plows. (On the return
trip at 5 p.m. both American (ab.) and
Snowy (!) Egrets were on the South side
of the highway. Warm at Boulder Creek.
Dec.20- Light rain all day afternoon.
Dec.21. Clearing. Thrasher singing.
Dec.24 Rain - heavy -
Dec.25: Clear, brilliant day - Forty morning.
Dec.26-28. Rain.
Dec.29- Cloudy
Dec.30, 31. Rain- Cold.
