Gray Warbler (4), Pileated Warbler, Creeper,
Chickadee, Wren-tit, Bush-tit, Rusty-
backed Thrush, Red-tailed Hawk, Buzzard,
Black Phoebe, Mourning Dove, Black-cr-
night Heron.
Season farther advanced than last year
(due to warm weather w/Feb.) Lilac (blue)
past its prime, azaleas well out, blue
lupine in full bloom, yellow just
beginning - Rusty-b. Thrush sang at
dawn. Did not hear mysterious bird
of last year
May 16. Cool. Rained at night.
17. Light rain -
18. Cloudy - warmer.
19. Rain a.m. Cloudy all day. I heard
mystifying bird of last year at 5 a.m.
20. Heard mystical bird again at 5 a.m.
21. Allen Hummer feeding young out
of nest. Saw Chipping Sparrows.
Rained hard all p.m.
22. Found Lutescent Warbler's nest, four
young nearly grown. Swail in Garden
Saw Ash-throated Fly catchers. Warm.
23. Cloudy all day. Sick. Heard mystery
bird at 4 p.m. when it was very cloudy
