1921. January.
2 Wren-tits, 2 Thrashers, several Blue Jays,
1 Hermit Thrush. The banded Fox Sparrow
has not been seen for some time.
Varied Robins come for water occasionally.
Vagons Wren came to table two or three
times for crust. No rare birds.
Tritonice began singing last week of Jan -
Also Thrasher which often comes with
mate(?).
Two Red-tailed Hawks were killed in
hills Jan. 8 and left by roadside. I
dissected the stomach of one and found
hard parts of a cricket.
Jan.15. Game Warden came.
Jan.16. Gave talk on hawks to group of
boys at Mrs. Plehns - Rain.
Feb. 7. Spent noon hour at Lake Merritt - be
Wren dentists. Pintails, Baldpates; Coots
and a few Canvasbacks.
Warm. First trail of Argentine ants spotted.
Feb.8. Worked in garden.
Feb.9. Worked in garden A.M. Took game with Dr. Dun
P.M.
