Also Trail Flycatcher.
Sept.19. Five Caly. Woodpeckers
near Arden Road at 10.A.M.
Sept.22. Caly. Woodpecker seen in
Claremont region.
Sept.23. Intermediate Sparrows seen.
Very light gray - fresh plumage.
Wood Peewee catching moths from
death tip in oak tree. House
Wren here. First rain.
Sept.24. Two Andubon Warblers seen.
25 Went to Bay Farm Island. The island
is being drained and turned into gardens.
On the Alameda shore 9 found Western Gulls,
Calif. Gulls, Ring billed Gulls, 2 Eared Grebes,
1 Willet, 3 Godwits, 3 Cormorants, 1 Black bell
Plover. 15 Kildeer and many Western and
Least Sandpipers. As we crossed the
island we saw Meadow Larks, several
Sparrow Warblers, Brewer Blackbirds and Songs
