Mar.2. Rusty Song Sparrow on feeding table.
Mar.8. Heard a Luscinous Warbler.
Mar.17. Black Phoebe lighted on porch,
on feeding table and flew out under
porch for flies.
Mar.24. Went to Golden Gate Park with Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Cole and family. Vigors
New building in tunnel in hole in
stalactites - Hole 2½ in. in diameter.
Purple Heads, Blue Bills and Ruddy
Ducks on North Lake. Partly Cloudy, cool.
Mar.14. Saw three swallows near French-
man's. Warm. Rain. Rusty Song Sparrow
still here.
Mar.20. Brush-tile building next.
Mar.27. Have not seen Rusty Song Sp.
today. Hermit Thrush on table:
Mar.29. Heard W. Flycatcher and Paleolated
Warbler.
Mar.30. Went to Bay Farm Island with class
of ladies (in Mrs. Cole's auto). Black-crowned
Night Heron stood on fence post at side
of road. Did not move till auto started.
Saw also Ring billed Gulls, Plumpous - W.g.,
Western g., hundreds of pipits, meadow larks,
Dut. Sparrows (many singing - very grey)
