1920. jan. Jan.5. Spent an hour in the morning in Echo Parks. Warm, clear. Saw Coots, Ringbilled Gulls, Pied-billed Grebes (One Eared (or Horned) Grebe), 1 Farallone Cor., W. Gnatcatcher (in weeping willows) Song Sp. (San Diego) - Ruby-cv. Kinglets, And. Warblers-abundant. Robin, Varied Robin, Hermit Thrush, Anna N., Br. Towhee, Nut. Sp., Red-breasted Nuthatch, Black Phoebe, White-throated Swift (20), Green v. Goldsp., (Orange-crowned (or Dusky?) Warbler Brewer Black v. and Cedar Waxwings on hill above Echo Park. In afternoon met with Mrs. Anthony and Mrs. Smythe to Hollywood - Letts Place & Griffiths Park. Saw Cedar Waxwings, Coast Jay, Col. Jay, Varied Robin, Fox Sp., Golden-cv. Sp., Oven tit Thrushes, Sp. Towhee, Sp. Hawks, Butcher Bird Hutton Vires and Gnat Catcher (in cacti at Letts.) Jan.6. Returned to Berkeley Jan.7. Arrived in B. in early A.M. Cold, north wind. Jan.8. Rusty Song Sp. came
