May 4. Bay Farms. Windy. Shore birds abundant
near bridge. Richard Nockling with me. Saw
Black-cr. Night Heron colour at Cohen place
nest, eggs and young. Bullock Oriole
Horned Larks near lumber yard. Also a
different Sparrow-like song Sp. but
very tiny note. Streaking very fine. Dark color.
May 8. Canyon w. Nockling children -
Unual birds - W. Fly. nest in Calves shed, Bick-
tits' nest. Vireo? brooding on nest; Titmouse
feeding young.
