Mar.21. James Birthday. Went to Golden Gate
Park. Beautiful warm day. In Rhododendron
garden, Chickadee flew into crack in Eucalyptus tree. In Japanese Tea Garden flocks of
25-30 Crossbills feeding on Eucalyptus
seeds (small variety). Many purple finches
Scooters & Bluebirds on bay. Calif Gulls very
numerous. Many W. Gulls. Several min Glaucous
muged; 1 Hermit, a few Ring billed
Mar.22. Walk in Wild Cat Canyon. Very warm.
Many Hutton Vireos, Calling constantly.
Lut. Warblers common. Heard Pileated W.
Bush tits all noted - no flocks. 26 sp.
Mar.23. Charles Day. Purple finches singing. Warm.
Mar.24. Cooler. Ride with Schwecks thru Redwood
Canyon, Walnut Creek, Franklin Canyon. Cool, clear.
Lut. Sp. Hermit Thrush (singing) Mourning Doves
