Drove with Mr. Ferguson to Richmond, San Rafael Sausalito, Bolinas, Llama, Bear Valley, Tocaloma, Paper Mill Creek, San Rafael - home - In Bolinas Bay were Kingfishers, White Pelicans, Brown Pelicans, Blue Herons, In Bear Valley - Blue birds - On rocky shore near San Quentin Point I saw a gray bird 9-10 in long, no white markings on wing - Wandering Tattler. Aug. 19. Heard Grosbeak and Thrush. Aug. 20. Heard Mr. Tanager. Aug. 21. Saw Pileated Woodpecker. Damn-- Aug. 27. Heard Grosbeak - Saw Yellow Warbler - Sept. 2. San W.
