Many moths about light on front porch at night.
Feb. 9. Cold.

Feb. 11 Flock of Cedar Waxwings. Very cold night. Heavy.
Feb. 12. (Sunday) Walk in hills. Got Pussy Willow. Saw
Red-breasted Sapsucker.
Feb. 15 Rain - warmer
16. Warm. Cloudy. Thrasher came & sat with
hazelnut shell on its bill. Tried to knock
shell off by striking table. Flew to ground,
pecked in ground. Flew to branch, rubbed
shell against breast side of foot. Disappeared
in brush with shell still on its beak.
Feb. 18. Titmouse investigated box on fence post.
Female (?) at hole, male calling in tree above.
Thrasher & Nuttall's Woodpecker calling & singing.
Nuttall Sp. & Song Sp. juncus broke left arm.
19. Heavy Rain. Slabbing protect drawn up.
