Went to S.F. Channel and afterwards to beach. Very clear. Beach had been swept clean by storm of past days - Walked from Cliffhouse to Dingleide - saw only 2 Pac. Terns, 1 gull, 1 common tern dead on beach - none of their fresh specimens. Dec.28. Rain & wind again. Dec.29. Rain. Dec.30. Clear. White-throated Sparrow came to perch.
