April 24.
Blue jay tried to get young from Bush-tits
nest near kitchen window. I heard calls
of distress from bush tits and frightened
off the jay by throwing at him. This is
the second time this season I have
seen jays attacking bush-tits nests.

Apr. 25. Heard W. Flycatcher call at 10.P.m.
Fog. and cold W. wind.
Apr. 26. Hermit Thrush & Golden-cv. Sp. still
here.
Apr. 28. Heard W. Tanager near Lyk. Theater.
Apr. 30. Sveira (?) jumps on electric wire
on Mosswood Road - singing.
May 1. Mrs. Cole took bird class to Lafayette and
Diablo Country club. Wonderful day with
many birds - Long-tailed Chats, Bunting,
Bricle, etc.
