Nuttall Sparrow L 43961. Typical immatures
Nuttall, except that bend of wing was white,
like a Gambel's, confirmed by Dr. Grinnell.
Wren-tit 91519. Banded by C. D. Blabough
March 20 1925. Recaptured by me 2/21/34 and
12 times previously. This bird must now
be at least two years old. B.S. band still
in good condition-also the two red cal-
luloid bands attached by Mary Blickton
on Feb. 14 1933.
Nuttall Sparrow L 43860-L 43866. Book 2, P. 166.
By "plumage almost adult" is meant that
Stripe through crown is white, but that
Stripes on each side are brownish black;
not yet pure black also B/161016 Book 2, P. 96.
Nuttall Sparrow L 72813. After being trapped
the first time, in a government sparrow trap,
together with about a dozen Nuttalls, Golden-
creeper and Junco's, I found this bird,
about five minutes after releasing it, in
a N.B.B.A. two-compartment trap, about 75
ft. distant.
Nuttall Sparrow L 43511. Black just beginning to
appear, at base of bill, on brown head lines
Nuttall Sparrow L 72868. Reference B/4/1261. Banded
first Feb. 17 1933 and entered as a Gambel
Sparrow. This was a mistake.
