Dark phase (summer)
Dark nump on this bird and some white on sides
of neck but no more than that on the while B
nuped dead mured petrel seen yesterday.
Not seen well; large Pterodroma certainly C

weather conditions. Flight is generally

more leisurely and the body axis -D-
vertical remains near the horizontal move of the
time
Smaller than WT-all brown above + below;
light "noddy" pattern noticeable on wings
Flight somewhat more rapid than WT
just seen but generally similar. How would
a big Pterodroma fly in a calm sea. A-
Glimpsed once but briefly
Face and head very light; back a light
gray-black with rump not distinguishably
different in color. Some white extending
up sides of throat. WN on basis of this
and very light impressive green by hood well
