Flew to Kure on test flight of an "Albatross"
SAR plane. Had trouble landing at Kure. Killed
two tropicbirds on pass over runway. Talked to Lt.

to Deseret. Called Maryanna when back at Midway
and finally got through to her. Called Goodwin back
and told him of developments. Bill Wirtz arrived
and went to "O" Club for dinner to Dr. Millet
