Lehner, P. 1964 37 Aug. 16 an uneventful day - usual routine - banded and painted more wedgetails; Caringi and Bercik were up shooting at other end again - I'm convinced that they're shooting very few birds; Cam spotted a shorebird in P.M.; I went to get my camera and the shotgun; Caringi returned with me as gun bearer; I took several pictures with my 700mm and then had Caringi shoot the bird; I'm convinced that it is a Wilson's Phalarope - Cam doesn't think it is a Phalarope at all; after movies (Stalag 17 + Captain Sinbad) I got the large sealed beam light and we went to other end to count Red-footed Boobies and check Wedgetails and Bulwer's burrows. - worked some more on progress report
