26 April 81 Tucson Ariz 5977 290 Helminthophaga celata 5X7.3 9 5978 291 Ditto 49X7.1 9 Back brown. Bill blackish lighter at base below. Legs dark brown. Have not found this species common anywhere. Moved out to the hills this morning. Grass is very scarse for the horses that will have to go back to the river tomorrow. Heard some Thrushes but could get none. Several White-winged Doves flew past during the day. Their flight is like that of the Band-tailed Pigeon but slower.
