Pass, a days drive from where the first L. gambili were seen. Saw a number of Polioptila that were probably P. plumbea in the same locality where the L. gambili were seen, but as we drove nights and tried to sleep days, with the thermometer running 115° to 120° in the shade (if shade could be found), I found it impossible to do anything not absolutely necessary, so I made no effort to collect any birds.
