Pass, a days drive from
where the first L. gambili
were seen. Saw a number
of Polioptila that were probably
P. plumbea in the same locality
where the L. gambili
were seen, but as we drove
nights and tried to sleep
days, with the thermometer
running 115° to 120° in
the shade (if shade could
be found), I found it impossible
to do anything not absolutely necessary, so I made
no effort to collect any birds.
