1 May 81 Tucson Ariz. 6000 313 See #308. Ornithion [illegible] 4.6 x 7.2 8 This Flycatcher was sitting on the top of the tallest tree near, at sunrise this morning, singing his comical little song, "goo-p- goo- poo-poo-pedledie", the first half uttered very deliberately the rest not so rapidly. The call is "Peer-pir pir pir" commencing with a high shrill note and lowering one note each time. I followed it some time yesterday only to miss it at last. Its habits are much like other small Flycatchers, but does not jerk the tail much. It is slung and so far rare. I have never before seen it. 6001 314 Pipilo aberti 8.9 x 10.9 ♀ Light brown. Bill brownish from above, bluish from below.
