30 April 81. Tucson Ariz 5494 311 Butor gonzocens 18.7 X 495 8 Brown, Bill black, becoming grunish at base both above and below. Cere, legs and feet yellow, Claws black. I was standing on a dam in the river at the head of an irrigating ditch, among Willows, waiting for something to turn up, when below me in the stream a Kutton as I supposed at the time, attempted to catch some minnows in a shall. place, fluttering over the water trying to catch the little fish with its feet, as I saw plainly. It apparently failed and lit on the dam beyond and below me. I could not see it very distinctly, and still thought it a Kutton. It appeared jet black and white bill and smaller than the
