Maine (L. Umbagog) Occurrence in Spring
1887
May - Mrs. Bartlett of Poplar Tavern has a
remarkably fine black Old Squaw which
was killed on Umbagog last May by David
Hayward. The latter tells me that there
were three of them (two drakes & a duck) together
but they were very shy so he got only one.
