30 Some return to the N slope in a few days when the
road was repaired. Also, instead of spending the
night on C.Pelon we returned to Casoa last night.
Before leaving C.Pelon we visited several localities
between the top of C.Pelon and 18.9 mi N Guel
in an attempt to get intervening localities
for Thorius sp. "lg dark" We were successful
at one place, 24.9 mi N of Guel (ca ~1.5 mi S top
of C.Pelon) when we collected 3 Thorius from
a drenched slope in a pouring rain. We had
also collected one P. yuareyi under a toadstool,
(the first, I believe, found S of the top C.Pelon).
We also visited a locality just S of Puerta
de del Sol, near the bottom of the "saddle"
on C.Pelon. Apparently, the gap in the distribution
of the large sp is real. There was, in addition,
a conspicuous absence of T.macdougalli,
including one last visit made at dusk to
Llano de las Flores.
