The first drive of two ravines into a meadow failed for the men did not dare to cross too much country and the redhuck escaped over a hill top without giving us a shot, but later we had better success on the opposite side of the valley; I got a doe, a friend buck & Harry another doe.
The hunters didn't enter into the game with zest for they did not want us to do any shooting for fear we would get no meat-shorts at Rajpuri. Other wise we might have had several more.
Friday
It was a better cool morning but brought sunlight, we decided to hunt goat and went for 3 miles up the main valley to some awesome cliffs, we separated when we reached them and my hunter and I climbed to the summit of the ridge together. It was killing work - one of the hardest climbs I have ever had.
When we had stations on the rocks far above the valley two of the beaters came up - me alone some below - but they just about out nothing, Nor heard Harry that time however, from another ridge someone saw this hunter then many glasses with a goat on his back. I One of my beaters had seen a goat
