Thermal and the late afternoon while we were away. If I had not gone more than an hour from camp when I came down and had climbed to the summit quite high, just when I sat down in a rock over the country with the glasses, The hills were low wide shallow valleys between them & beginning at the left & slowly rising along examining every inch of the ground. Directly our front as we was the coming out of two small valleys into a larger one and as my glasses kept it, I saw a half dozen yellow-red forms in its very bottom about 2 miles away. They were antelopes quietly feeding. On a few moments I made out ten more closer up & then two off at the right. Quite had a look and then he sat down to plan the stalk. We figured that we could cross the two small valley depressions with due boughed into the main valley and swing around the hill crest behind nearest to the antelopes. But even then we would be 400 or 500 yards from the animals, it was still best I could do and I hoped that they might move nears to us before we reached them. We trotted slowly across the depressions while I was in sight of the ground for a few & then we were two miles away
