so far also a flock of red headed ducks alighted at a pond and I got one of them, we now during the day probably 15 or 20 rusty shell ducks. They were usually in pairs and accordingly tame, letting us come within 30 feet very often. Their beautiful rusvous feathers, black wings & white heads show with glattering vivitness against the green grass. The birds are all feeding and show wide nervousness very often when in approach imminent-- that their nests must be near by. They are running little ponds in the low lands of somewhat pieces & less often on the river itself. I watched two fecking today as sun poused to see them
