126 Friday July 18 I had a timely hard morning with getting our carts a few hundred yards across a stately balanced started down an incline into the main valley. Then there was a succession of marshes to cross for the while Valley slope is quite a sponge, we did not get started till ten o'clock for some party here had strayed during the night and lost the game who to find them we at last got in the rain and had supper beside a tent and string of carts loaded with goods. The farmers were assured the remainder of their breakfast secured that they would sometime return, The farmers surprised me by calming that this was the Tarlebe Run. Gibson had said that there were plenty of ants at our destination but here there were not signs of any.
