10 P. M. No. 15 Color Finback ♀ jiw. May 25/10 Aikawa Back slate -- the slate reaches onto the side of cent. from the mid-dorsal line, opposite the tip of the fin laid back. Left ramus bluish-white at distal end shading into very light gray proximally -- Right ramus very dark slate. The ridest peduncle light isablella gray -- Out. edge white for whole length albar; rest blue-gray -- Below postearian edge has edging one inch wide of grayish and distal 1/4 of fin is grayish -- all rest white below. Flukes Flukes white below, except tips, posterin's edge nearly to notch, and antern's edge dark slate. The slation anteris' edge is narrow near insertion of flukes & toward tips becomes broader. The posterin's dark edging is about 8 inches wide. The belly is not lapped. Bristles Bristles are all yellowish white, except the proximal 1/6 which are grayish for whole length of plates. There are 90 white plates in its white portion in the right side -- the white portion shades gradually into its dark-edged plates, [14 prof ribs sure]
