40 On belly folds from a short distance behind fins there are many small ash colored markings - also a few scattered white ones. Six folds under left fin are whitish - an irregular line 3 ft long of white dashes comes obliquely downward to back near from posterior insertion of fin. There is then a break of 18 inches in the white line of dashes and then it begins again reaching nearly to median line, halfway between first navel. These white dashes are about 2" m. long to 3"s wide. [illegible] Five folds directly under right fins are whitish (but not the furrows). At least between fins are a few ash colored markings. On upper sides & back directly above navel is a large patch of almost solid light gray markings - the navel is white. The right ranner of the mandible is of a lighter gray than are folds of the throat.
