137 \n© Theology no 40 8\n\nVertebral formula:\n\nVertebrae C D L Ca The last caudal is\n 7 11 13 28 = 59 about the size of a\n\nsmall peg - The dissections were made\nwith great care & these results are certainly\ncorrect\n\nRibs 12 pps. none floating\nchevrons 19 chevrons in series - the last is very small\n\nThe first pair of chevronae are very small\nand the laminae are far apart distally - the\n2nd is larger & longer but still well separated\ndistally - the 3rd is same height as 2nd but\ntho laminae touch distally; they are not\njoined by ossification however. The 4th.\nis same height as 3rd but are joined dist- ally by ossification - the 5th is higher than\n4th. It has a longer spine. The 6th is higher\nthan 5th tho shorter laminae but longer\n& narrower spine. The 7th is same height\nas 6th but the spine is wider. The 6th & 7th\nare highest of series; from this point back,\nthe spines widen & decrease in height\ngradually. The last chevron is exceedingly\nsmall but is ossified.\n\nThese observations were made while the series\nwere in situ & do not mean the actual\nmeasured lengths of the chevrons.\n\ndental 8 - 8\nformula 8 - 8
