Presented a curious appearance surround with the great Birds. Then I also saw two adult Larus gregatatus light on an immense Dead tree top & sat them down. Then, this white plumage con- trasting beautifully with a dark Cloud which formed the background. We found a flock of L. Gambetta flavipes feeding in the wind's S. pick at one of them flying northward success. Took the boat off B. corn reached the brown by 12 o'clock. All the swallows left him day after gesterday (25th) when we started them collecting into large flocks. Aug. 28 Clear and a very warm day. In A.M. Skimmed a few birds. Boat in P.M. took a tramp with S. corn on the Dyke road but had miserable luck, bagging only 4 birds. Petrea Can & y.y. Of. inficajilla y.y. 4 triche, 2 y.y. 1 D. maculosa yy. just beyond the bog as we rowed walking quietly along I chanced to look up and my attention was immediately attracted by a pair of young of some grouse which were sitting on a small larch.
