June 17 figure out what happened. He thought it might
be a disease. He said he would buy new woodchips,
sawdust, and food today in town. I took all the
water bottles to the cabin and put the 2
dead mice in the lab freezer. I washed out
all the water bottles and filled them up at
the cabin. Then I took them to the barn.
The time was around 1130h by now, I had
earlier put the 2 living young mice in a new
cage. All the other mice are looking alright
today. At 1500h I washed microscope slides.
At 1600h I went to WR grid to change
the thermograph paper. After that I
stopped at the barn and to check the cages
I stopped at the cabin. At 1715h I
went to set RC fence traps. At about
1800h I went to the barn again. Mark
had brought the supplies. I
cleaned a couple cages. Mark had
done one as well. At 3 1900h I left
the barn and went to set the MC
drift fence traps, finishing up
around 1945h.
June 18 At 0615h I left the cabin and walked to
the MC drift fences. The temp was 55° F and
there was no fog. At about 0645h I
finished the 2 MC fences. I drove over
