Sunday July 11, 1915. Snow and SW wind for the past 6 days. This week has been insupportable. Snow and wind are nothing new but rain and hail confine us to the house. It returned on Wednesday with Geo. with whom she spent the night in Fish Creek and then went back to Littleton Island with supplies. She and Tanka walked home. On Friday it fell again visited the head of the Sound in order to obtain some as paddock eggs at this writing he is storm bound there. The dogs have been straggling home from Sunrise Point where live & his cousin hatched them. The sun, of course, is not supplying us with as we should wish. I have a touch of grippe and then for my unriddle. Hal brought some good fresh eggs and reported that he had made a cache of eggs on his Gary Island. Tuesday July 13-1915 Cloudy with SW wind. The snow & rain have stopped & the sun came out for a few minutes. This may be only a breathing space, a lull between storms. Yesterday from the hill we saw that some ice had broken away so that the water was within a few yards of Sun- rise Point. Hal killed a seal last night.
