Friday March 26, 1915 Snow SW wind - 4° Last night and yesterday afternoon a great deed of snow came. This morning the thermometer got above zero for awhile. The sun came out and was so hot on the roof that there was a rain in the attic when the snows commenced to thaw. Els. and his men fed the last of our walrus meat to their dogs. They left about 6:30 p.m.; all day during there has been a smother of snow coming up from the sea but this evening the breeze fell enough to let them get away. Hal and Joe are preparing to leave in the morning. Doug left a number of dogs at Sitka anchorage and he thinks they may not be getting the meat they should have.
