FOR EVER.
Saturday December 6, 1914.
Partly cloudy with light airs from N = Temp 0°.
Another week shot in its fatal spot × I had a Saturday night opera by having supper alone, taking a nap afterwards and then working out some of Fermi's Algebra problems. He did not feel well and went to bed before supper ×
I had rather an enipid day today but first nights was gay enough to make up for it. So far as I can remember I spent most of it riding behind a fore- and-aft (tandem) rig in a beautifully shiny carriage × I had on a new and well-fitting morning coat with a white striped tie about a very high collar. My silk hat I wore upon my knees while I bowed to left and right as I met every one I have ever known in my life × There was a great deal of sunshine and then were white lilacs on every hand except when I reached a certain place — and then I saw none, only white laurel was everywhere!!!
Needles to say I took a walk today ×
This warm weather is remarkable × Were we in Wisconsin or in that neighborhood I am sure the cold would be at least as bad + probably a great deal worse ×
The Nellie pups live with us as usual × I can't understand why They like this place ×
While I was out this afternoon I sang all of the old football song over again × They sounded pretty sweet now in my crunty voice.
