184 Joy Friday November 6 - 1914 clear and calm air beautiful with full moon and stars out throughout the day x It was a great pleasure to see the smoke rise straight up from the chim- ney. The usual sight is a train of sparks dashed from the thin whirled chimney gas as the wind were afraid some time would be lost in getting by x Jerome went to Fish immediately after breakfast in order to get some films. Our moon is just north of the house and should make a very pretty picture x The calm weather allowed a snap shot to be taken x I went out at moon and met Jerome coming back with Almywack and Mac. I walked quite a long ways up the Firsd. On my return Mac had gone but Almywack had her fat limbs now punched me on the dental chair. She was as fascinating as ever - which isn't very fascinating. Jerome told me that Mac had found some discrepancy in the spring sights x I went in at once to find out if I had given him anything wrong. I had picked out a distance too small for the observed position of our last camp. Almywack walked in with me. She had a very hard time with her short legs and round body, and could keep up with me only by clinging to my arm x The moon was very bright and she looked quite attractive with a fresh finger above her black hair x I pretended it was a winter night at home and found the three miles almost too short. These nights are exquisite!
