FOREVER. 159 Monday October 13, 1914 (thirteenth round) And still it blows! Nothing [illegible] occurred today except that Jerome & I each lost our temper once. I was moved to profanity when the stove became choked with coal and refused to burn while I shivered and waited for breakfast to warm up. Jerome soon blew out the thimble of a pipe for the water tank. Two minutes after the acting was over he broke the same pipe trying to heat it. I think he swore louder than I had earlier. We have finally to try a new plan: he is to get all the breakfasts and I shall prepare the dinners. I hate to get up before breakfast and he hates to go to the trouble of getting dinner. I have been watching a comet in the constellation of Arcturus Major. I feel sure that I am not mistaken altho I did not know that one was expected this winter. It was not visible last night. It is moving south & retargading toward the west. The sun sets early now & the colors are beautiful. In a day or two we will no longer have shine above the cape to our South. We are very happy & contented this day. She is free in the joy forever and we try, I think not to part in one another.
