142 Friday Sept 11 - '7 11 Clear weather with almost no wind. Continued work on the shed of our house at the Island - Came out here at 9 am, bringing a load of lumber, tin etc. Sat. Sept 12 - 194 This afternoon snow came with a rush from the southwest. I had just finished one front door. Just now working on margin. Sunday Sept 13 - 194 It snowed all day and we were glad to remain indoors reading and taking life as it came. Monday Sept 14 - 194 The snow storm changed the country around into white and red in morning. Later this morning the motor boat stopped by having four inches of ice she around had started down to Sulphurville early in order to bring back mud but a hill had freshened the way.
