Wed Sept. 2 - 1914
Hal & I worked to Sunrise Point on Th
Sunday. The motor boat is dodging for Camp
+ hunting whenever possible x
Thursday Sept. 3 - 1914
Spk, Hal, Jerome, 2h + I all went in
the motor boat to Littleton Island for ducks.
We were disappointed; the cold weather and wind
had driven them all south.
We climbed up a big ice bay and Jerome
took moving pictures from the whole boat.
At Littleton Island we found "ERIK
1876" scratched on the rocks near a cairn
at the S W corner of the island. Also "O. Swirsky"
'98" We added our names and the date.
Friday Sept 4 - 1914
Jerome and I worked up the Bird run-
waying that a southly gale put an end to
our efforts. Later it cleared.
Saturday Sept 5 - 1914
The winter weather continued but in
the afternoon 2h, Jerome and I went to
the summit of Sunrise Point. There we
dug up a cairn which is to commemorate
