Wednesday July 1st '74 We went over with the round of squires to Littleton & Megany's Island after duck eggs & walrus. They stayed 3 days and took with nearly 2000 eggs. A few day later Hal, Jerome and I took the whale boat with three squires returned to the islands where we collected a thousand more eggs. We also killed ducks & walrus arriving home again three days with a boat load of meat. The weather must was just up just east of the house and on the 4th I found one big fleg flew for it. Daniel attempted fights with the bites showed very clearly that the local minds were too re- native to this work. The high clips & gaps there then made eddies & cross currents that rendered life in almost impossible. Before the ice got too weak fortune & I put up a number of carries at prominent points about the harbor planning to make a complete survey later in the summer. On June 29th early on the month Abdulalugal gave birth to a little boy. There are dozen or so families of joggies in the village. We are taking turns cooking with each man cooking a day within his turn comes. Dinner at four follows an & am fish fest we usually have a rugby shot 10:30 am.
