112 Eureta Tuesday, May 5-1914 Duch's still with us. We had the night in the 'Indian igloo' & had nearly gone 12 miles this am when we spotted Carlson on the hill. Killed 4 & caught. Did all to dogs & fed a great deal of meat ourselves. Wednesday, May 6-1914 Made about 3->40 mile march cutting down Navajo Brand to Hustedly. It blew hard from th N & drifted all day making travelling awful bad. The old igloo had fallen in so we built a new one. Thursday, May 7-1914 When we left Hustedly it was blowing & drifting as usual. This continued until the march x camp at John Island. We fed meat to the dogs & fed a good feed ourselves. We found one of Allison's dogs - part of them only surviving somehow how. They had just put up a flag to mark the igloo so it can hard- by drifted in. Friday, May 8-1914 Made long march from John Island & S. end of Johnis peninsula. Igloo sunk in. Double fed the dogs.
