Sat Feb 7-14.
Green and Ahpelah left with
their divisions this morning, - the
first seven sledges on the way
to Cape Thomas Hubbard. The day was
clear and there was practically no
wind, a fine day for a start.
They left here with empty sledges
and will load up at Rahmowintz
and at the Littleton Island cache.
I have been working all day on
a sounding machine for use on
the Komatike.
Egingwah has developed a case
of mumps; and Panicpa believes
he will not be able to travel.
Mudlukets too is sick - seems to
have the grip.
Sun Feb 8-14.
Today I have been at work on the
sounding wire, getting the tangles out
of it and getting it wound on the
sounding reel. This was no small
task as there is about two miles
of the wire and it was in a
badly tangled coil. Several of the
