Picked up at 2:00 and off at 2:25 in 180 on wheels; in rain. weather on and off - very bad in Baxter Island area, with fog, rain or low ceiling, but began to clear just after Herschel Island. Arrived at Inuvik at 7:00- 4½ hours flying time instead of 5 hours because of strong tail wind - but 9:00 pm. at Inuvik. Many photos of Mackenzie delta & vegetation cycles. Inuvik broad now & very colorful. We were lucky in getting room in Mackenzie Hotel, the only one. Walked around Town after dinner for exercise - an interesting place, on dry land.
