July 25. Another bright & sunny day after a long siege of fog. Some specimens already dry, others enough so to lay out in day air of lab to finish up. Sorted bags of stuff collected during last 2 days, made records + got into press. Spent whole day on specimens, in one form or another. Got considerable information Invite from Hank Childs - apparently quite a place & brand new, to replace Akkink, which is being taken over by the Merckensie. Max & John in for drinks, followed at once by Cliff & Norma Aldenfer - no time for dinner!
