a party (McNamara) to a lake above Lemiat, to descend by boat, and stopped in to see if we were ready to go because his plane was empty and he was in the vicinity - a most humane attitude, as otherwise it would be at least another day before we could be picked up. Finished packing, took gear to plane, turned off propane tank, put horrible bear- and-wolverine- proof shutters back on windows & door (I managed to snag my hand in process) and off just after 7:00. Landed at Barrow in fog Shortly after 9:00 - met by Joe & Ted Humphrey. Home for a quick supper, then put 2 big pieces of best specimens over the fire.
