straw hats that they care to take no precautions against
sunstroke & often wear small
cloth sailor caps in this
climate while a soldier or
landsmen must wear a
helmet or he is reprimanded.
The sailor for some reason is
supposed to be immune
to sunstroke. After visiting
the balters on hark andy
is an anchor to the reserve
which is still 4 miles.
It is a beautiful sheet
quarter surrounded by
natural forest trees
at the entrance where there
saloon & shrubbery.
Afterward we drove to a
larger river & near one
2 miles further. Both of
these places were guarded.
