mountain forests, some of the trees I recognized, at 4000 feet & below many grand or screw palms were lined, a little lower were seen a few of wild jack fruit, I noticed at 2000 feet many panicles of the carrina flowered short with horizontally opposite placed leaves first seen at Friguel near Finchow. There were also many of the white bracted pandaled flowers so common in Guern-man. Ten grades continued down to 2000 feet at 4000 feet I saw a group of 3 large brown Macaques sitting on trees motorside from the track.
