the way down the road passed a large pond, a reservoir within high banks on one side. Some 75 or 100 ducks were on the surface, mallards & scaup ducks + one gray goose. They were shy. I've shot only one as mallard, 2 geese/ducks were seen in the flooded rice fields near by. I shot 2 jack snipes in ricefields + one of the white crowned red headed water may-tail. Below this cave on a good sized stream. A water ratted from a smaller lower walled cave. This water was fairly pure. [27] Collected birds today as mammal trapping failed. A blackbird, 2 species of warblers, stone-crusts + Molmer bird. Crimson vented bullbul + a wagtail were green kingfishers were skinned. [28] Continued the birdwork & added a purple thrush fly? rze the common blackwhite muskies piglet finch, a sealy
