Stalactites & Stalagmites are To be seen in places dry. Water are heard percolating from the wall; The general color of the limestone is black & rusty in appearance but this color is natural & not due to camp fires apparently. Some of the stalactites are silver white & in shape like great lumps of ice or snow flakes unlike Birdlows' thorn in our temple. I suspect the Chinese got their ideas from a cave of this sort. We found only one bat, large myxotis-like species. Very little bird dung was seen on the floor. Bird droppings were seen in small quantities for what species this would carry? such a cave is quite unknown to us but the Chinese assert that Birds do line in the cave. The cave is no doubt along one inch wide went 100 ft. into it.
